Fred’s time at Manchester United is likely to come to an end this summer.

The Brazilian midfielder had grown into something of a fan favourite due to his charisma on and off the field. While the former Shakhtar Donetsk star never fully lived up to his price-tag, he was an instrumental presence, particularly in the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer era when the midfield pivot of McFred was a reliable combo more often than not.

Under Erik ten Hag, the Brazilian had his ups and downs but was largely reduced to an impact substitution. The inclusion of Casemiro certainly affected his starting lineup fortunes. As such, it comes as no surprise that the 30-year-old is now purportedly exit bound.

Manchester United midfielder has multiple suitors from two continents

According to Fabrizio Romano, multiple clubs are vying for Fred’s signature. The most recent update claims that Galatasaray have tried their hand at acquiring the player with their bid rumoured to have been rejected by Manchester United. It is understood that the Old Trafford outfit deemed the opening offer to be below their expectations.

United can afford to be a bit pricey in this sale as the report also indicates that Fulham are vying for his signature. Moreover, from a potential financial jackpot side, multiple clubs from Saudi Arabia have also been thrown into the mix. To wrap things up, other Premier League clubs too are expected to be interested in this saga.

It appears that Fred has decided that regular playing time is important to him at this stage of his career. Thus, the club too could make a smart sale and reduce the number of players on the roster. In fact, if the ongoing pre-season is any indication, a youth player or two may also be keen on taking his place.
