Manchester United flop joins Borussia Dortmund
The previous transfer window was an odd one for Manchester United, even by Erik ten Hag’s standards. The club has obvious loopholes and areas where they needed reinforcements. However, it was injuries which ended up most forcing the club’s hands and this the loan moves of Marcel Sabitzer and Wout Weghorst were sanctioned.
The two have since parted ways with the club as the Red Devils never looked to converting their loan spell into a permanent move. This is certainly interesting as the two added a lot to the game but when it came to the area where their expertise mattered the most- assisting and scoring goals, they both faltered quite blatantly.
As such, it is not a surprise that United were not too keen on making moves for the duo. But that did not stop the Bayern Munich midfielder to look for lucrative moves.
Manchester United flop to Switch to Dortmund
Marcel Sabitzer has completed a transfer from Bayern Munich to Borussia Dortmund. These two clubs dominate modern German football and thus a switch of players between them, while not uncommon, is still something that make heads turn.
Sabitzer actually had some pretty promising moments at Old Trafford, to the point that a minority of supporters did actually hope that the club would elect to make the loan move a permanent one in this summer window.

However, that was not the case.
The switch to Dortmund comes at a crucial time for a club who are attempting to reclaim their brief yet powerful call to fame from the previous decade. Regardless, some United supporters will certainly be happy with this move and will be hoping for more United axing as well.
