Erling Haaland had a one-word message for Jadon Sancho, who today completed his return to Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United.
Sancho has joined Dortmund for the second half of the season after refusing to back down in his stand-off with Erik ten Hag. The Englishman was sidelined from first-team activities after he took to social media to express his disagreement over Ten Hag’s reasoning for his exclusion from the squad to face Arsenal in September.
The Dutch coach said he didn’t select Sancho due to his performance in training. Since then, the 23-year-old hasn’t featured for United, and he is now all set to play in the Bundesliga after the two clubs agreed on a loan deal without including any option to buy for Dortmund in the summer.
Erling Haaland sends message to Jadon Sancho after his Manchester United exit
The next few months could prove to be very crucial for Sancho, who must be desperate to show his true quality at the club where he established himself as one of the most talented players in European football after leaving Manchester City.
During his prolific spell in Dortmund, he also got the opportunity to link up with Haaland. The Norwegian is now at City, but it seems he’s really excited to see his former teammate embark on a familiar journey – albeit with new challenges.
Following the announcement of the transfer, Haaland responded to Dortmund’s post, which showed Sancho’s new No. 10 shirt, by quoting it and writing “beautiful” in his Instagram story.
At the time of writing, no United player has publicly reacted to the winger’s exit. However, Sancho is believed to be a popular figure in the club’s dressing room and may already have received many well-wishes privately.
