What Sir Alex Said About Man Utd Transfer Target Jadon Sancho
Man Utd transfer target Jadon Sancho has got Sir Alex Ferguson’s seal of approval.
The Red Devils negotiations with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of the England international continues for what seems like an eternity. At this stage, it’s being reported that the two clubs are haggling over payment structures.
Considering the talks are in such an advanced stage, it’s clear the Premier League giants are intent on bringing Sancho back to England.
However, if there’s even an iota of hesitancy before committing a transfer fee in the region of €100m for the 21-year-old, the club should take note of Sir Alex Ferguson’s thoughts on the talented winger.
The iconic manager told Sport Bild (via Sport Witness): “I think a lot of Jadon Sancho, with his one-on-one duels, as an assister and scorer, he is extremely dangerous. He has so much potential, he helps the team [England].”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already an admirer of the Man City academy graduate, and has been trying to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams since the first summer transfer window of his managerial reign. Glowing remarks from his former boss will only increase his confidence in Sancho’s potential.
For now, though, Solskjaer would be wishing – like many fans – to see a positive end to this transfer saga, ideally before the start of pre-season.
