Luke Shaw’s display made headlines yet again, as England knocked Ukraine out of Euro 2020 in style.

The Three Lions asserted their dominance very early in the quarter-final tie, with Harry Kane scoring the first of his brace in the fourth minute via Raheem Sterling’s through ball. The England skipper’s second goal was created by a Luke Shaw cross.

Further, the left-back’s delivery just three minutes earlier also led to Harry Maguire doubling England’s lead just after the break.

The 25-year-old was a constant threat out wide for the Ukrainian defence during the 65 minutes he spent on the pitch. Such was his performance that the United star was honoured with the ‘Shawberto Carlos’ nickname once again.

However, this time the whole comparison with Roberto Carlos was extra special, as the Brazilian legend himself took to social media to applaud Shaw’s showings.

Another special facet about the Englishman’s prolific night in Rome was that it was in ‘The Special One’s backyard’ the Stadio Olimpico – home of Jose Mourinho’s new club AS Roma.

However, after the full-time whistle, Shaw insisted he’s not concerned about anything but helping England reach their objective.

The former Southampton man has been Gareth Southgate’s main creative outlet in the Euros, leading his teammates in both assists and chances created tally, and will be bestowed upon with the same duties against Denmark in the semi-finals.
