Ronaldo Replies To Roy Keane Welcoming Him Back To Manchester United
The last time Cristiano Ronaldo played for Manchester United it was simply a magical era for the side. Sir Alex Ferguson’s transfer signings were at their peak and the club did not necessarily have to spend big in order to keep the silverware piling on their trophy shelves.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a return to those glory days has always been expected and many fans would certainly hope that Ronaldo being reunited with the club where he first tasted excellence ought to do the trick for the Mancunian outfit.
In that regard, it is fitting that one of the gatekeepers to welcome the Portuguese midfielder on social media received a reply from the man himself.
Roy Keane, who had captained the United side during Ronaldo’s early years at Old Trafford, had an emphatic photo of the two of them posted to his Instagram in order to welcome the star back to the Theatre of Dreams.

Fittingly, Ronaldo commented on the post to show his gratitude. This has gone down quite well with the fans.
Keane and Ronaldo were part of a United who were hungry for wins and struck fear into the hearts of opposing teams. The attacking brand of football was at its peak, and United functioned with overall discipline. It is fair to say that the Premier League and the European competitions in which the Red Devils now try their hand have changed considerably since.
As such, Solskjaer will certainly hope that the former Juventus and Real Madrid star is able to instill more of that winning mentality with the side – a facet that the likes of Bruno Fernandes made a staple last campaign.
Will Keane also share comparable photos of silverware at the end of the season? Time alone will tell.
