Solskjaer Kept United Players In Dressing Room For 45 Minutes After 4-2 Leicester Defeat

Manchester United players are suffering from low morale amid a frustrating run of results. After their defeat against Leicester City, they were subjected to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s 45-minute unloading in the dressing room.

The Red Devils have found themselves undergoing a poor run of form after what seemed like a dream start to the season. United have won just one game out of the last five across all competitions and dropped 8 points out of a possible 9 in their recent Premier League outings.

The latest shortcoming came against Leicester where the Old Trafford outfit suffered a 4-2 loss following which the players were kept behind the dressing room doors for 45 minutes, reports The Times.

Solskjaer allegedly delayed the team bus’ return to Manchester as the post-match debrief took unusually long as he laid into a squad that already was ‘flat’.

Meanwhile, the Mancunians have a tough run of fixtures waiting for them starting with Atalanta, who visit Old Trafford this week. The Norwegian is now tasked with raising the team’s morale, which at the moment seems like a very difficult job.

However, the gaffer himself hasn’t done much to help the situation. Despite results clearly failing to go his way, the former Cardiff City boss has refused to change his approach and continues deploying the same setup with which he started the season.

Stubbornness is far from what the team needs right now and the sooner he realises that, the better.

Nevertheless, the 48-year-old has shown in the past that he can turn things around when faced with a dark predicament. So it wouldn’t be surprising if things start taking a turn toward a more positive direction soon. That is if he finally manages to let go of trying to force the same philosophy and formulates a plan-B in order to implement damage control.
