Manchester United striker Anthony Martial is nearing the exit door, with Sevilla ‘confident’ of finalising the transfer.

The La Liga club are set to sign the Frenchman on loan until the end of the season. According to talkSPORT, talks between the two clubs are at an advanced stage.

Martial made his first appearance under Ralf Rangnick in United’s late win against West Ham on Saturday. Introduced in the 82nd minute of the game with the score line at 0-0, he made quite an impression and combined with Edinson Cavani to set up Marcus Rashford’s winner.

However, it seems the 26-year-old’s stance on exiting Old Trafford rather than fighting for a place in the squad under the interim boss remains unchanged.

The France international is understood to be keen to move to Spain, and as per Graeme Bailey, he has accepted a drop in his wages to make the switch.

Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui is equally interested in this transfer to materialise, as he looks to challenge his former club Real Madrid for the La Liga title, as well as win the Europa League for the second time in three seasons.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed Martial is the Spanish outfit’s priority target, and they remain confident of securing his services in the January transfer window.
