Napoli Join Everton In Depay Chase
Serie A outfit Napoli have joined Everton in the pursuit for Manchester United winger Memphis Depay, as per Tuttomercatoweb.com.
Memphis joined Manchester United from PSV Eindhoven back in the summer of 2015, for a fee of £25 million. He arrived in Manchester with a lot of promise – so much so, that he was handed the legendary #7 shirt by the club.
However, under Louis van Gaal’s management, the 22-year-old failed to emulate the kind of success he achieved in the Eredivisie, and he still finds himself out of contention for a starting spot under current manager Jose Mourinho.

Amidst Depay’s struggle at United, many clubs are willing to offer him a way out and get him back to his best.
United’s fellow Premier League club Everton are believed to be the favourites to sign Depay as soon as the Winter transfer window opens, with the Toffees’ official twitter account even tweeting about the Manchester United player on Sunday night.
But as per latest reports from Italy, it looks like Napoli have also entered the race for the winger’s signature, and will battle it out with Everton to snap Memphis up this coming January.
However, Depay, the man himself, currently has no intention of leaving Manchester United, as per his comments following Holland’s 3-1 win on Sunday night.
The Dutchman was asked about the speculation linking him with a move away from United, to which he replied: “I do not know, we’ll have to see.
“I focus on United, I do my very best to be able to get minutes. I’m going back to United with a good feeling, because I have got minutes here [with Netherlands] and we won. That is the most important.”
