Manchester Giants To Battle For Tottenham Duo

Jose Mourinho will take on Pep Guardiola in a bid to sign Spurs’ flying full-backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose.
The Manchester United gaffer is looking to strengthen his defense, and he attempts to do so with a massive £60 million offer for both the English players, according to The Sun. Old nemesis Guardiola, however, might prove to be a roadblock.
The Spurs’ stars have shown blistering form and consistency off-late. Right-back Kyle Walker averages 2.6 successful tackles and 1.2 interceptions per game in the Premier League this season. This, along with his passing ability, would make him a key asset to Guardiola.

So would similarly styled Danny Rose. He joined Spurs for £1million from Leeds in 2007 and has been improving ever since. He has been a revelation this season, as he averages 3.1 tackles and 1.3 interceptions in the Premier League.
With Walker also joining for £9 million the same summer, Guardiola might tempt Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy with huge amounts for both.
But Mourinho is also desperate. His side has struggled because of the inconsistencies of his left backs this season. With evolved right back Valencia 31 years of age now, these two 26-years-olds would give United’s defence more solidity.

Signing either of them could prove a major task though. The duo signed new 5-year deals worth £70,000-per-week early this season at White Hart Lane. Even worse for United and City’s chances is the absence of a release clause in their contracts.
Spurs have also proved to be an ever improving team, performing better each season. With Mauricio Pochettino in charge, it’s unlikely the duo will be tempted easily.
