Jurgen Klopp Emerges As Shock Contender To Replace Luis Enrique At Barcelona

Barcelona are now seriously considering life without manager Luis Enrique after this season with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp emerging as a surprise target, according to the Mirror.
With the Catalans at the moment four points adrift of Real Madrid having a game more in the league and on the brink of Champions League exit, Enrique could part away with Nou Camp after almost three years at Barca.
Klopp, who has impressed since he arrived at Liverpool in 2015, is attracting interest from all around Europe as Barcelona pondering over switching bosses this summer. The former Borussia Dortmund manager has always been a huge admirer of the La Liga champions, having taken his Reds team to Spain to watch the Spanish giants in action last December.
The 49-year-old German has been included in the wish-list lately with Enrique under immense pressure, while Klopp’s Everton rival Ronald Koeman is also being considered.

However, Barcelona have a strong tradition of going for the Dutch managers, with Johan Cruyff, Frank Rijkaard and Louis van Gaal all enjoying success, and Koeman seems to be preferred among the others if the Spanish giants wish to appoint a former player.
Liverpool will hope to hold on to Klopp, who has a six-year contract at the Merseyside, but considering his admiration to Barcelona he may well be persuaded with a move away if any deal ever materialize. This season Klopp has turned Liverpool into potential Champions League qualification contenders, having finished eighth last season.
Meanwhile, Enrique has been labelled an underachiever following the 4-0 humiliation at PSG and he looks set to leave Messi and co in the summer. Angel Di Maria scored a brace with Julian Draxler and Edinson Cavani sealing the rout and almost sending Barcelona out of the Champions League before the second leg.
