But Pochettino, on his part, is building a great core and Rose is certainly a powerhouse in it, hence, to snub off the interest, Daily Mirror has reported that the Lilly-Whites have slapped a £50 million price tag on his head.
Rose, who has two goals and two assists to his name so far, signed a new five-year deal with the club back in September.
However, nothing is certain in the sport and should the unthinkable happen, Luke Shaw will be Pochettino’s number one choice to replace Rose.
Shaw is no stranger to Pochettino as the duo worked together during their stint at Southampton and it is fair to say that Shaw came into limelight because of the perfect management of the Argentine.
Shaw, on his part, has been in the midst of heavy criticism as Jose Mourinho has time and again questioned his commitment on the field. Hence, it will now be interesting to see how this topsy-turvy speculation ends up.
