New MLS Club Tables £5m-A-Season Deal For Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to be offered a £5m-a-season deal to join new Major League Soccer franchise Los Angeles FC.
According to Daily Mail, the American franchise are determined to make Ibrahimovic the face of their club as they prepare for their debut season in the MLS.
LAFC owner Tom Penn recently stated: “We have spoken about the desire for a player of global stature. We want a player who is passionate about becoming the first LAFC legend.
“They will likely be loaned back so that they can continue to play football in Europe.”

Ibrahimovic has proved that he is still able to cut it at the highest level this season. Upon his arrival in England, many believed he would struggle to adapt to the pace of the Premier League. However, he has proved his critics wrong with 28 goals in his debut season for the Old Trafford outfit.
The Swede is currently said to be in talks with United over a one-year extension to his contract, which expires this summer. However, he has previously admitted that he may consider leaving the Theatre of Dreams should the club fail to make it into the Champions League yet again.
“Let’s see what happens, we are talking,” Ibrahimovic told the Manchester Evening News. “I have an option for another year, I want to do great as long as I’m here, so let us see, there is a lot of time.”
Ibrahimovic will not be short of suitors should he decide to leave the club, but the chance to be the face of a new club could serve as a good temptation for a man known to have one of the biggest egos in the sport.
