Bayern Munich Not Willing To Meet Semedo’s Transfer Fee
The purported £35m transfer fee for signing Benfica’ player Nelson Semedo would not bother Manchester United, as per Portuguese newspaper Record.
The defender was also linked to Bayern Munich, but with Benfica looking to demand the aforementioned amount from any club targeting Semedo, the Bundesliga giants seems to have pulled out of this pursuit. The Portuguese club are looking to get more than Renato Sanches’ transfer got them.
Bayern had scouted the Portuguese defender for long, and wanted to replace Philip Lahm with him, but they were only prepared to pay £20m for his services – a blessing for Manchester United.

The Premier League outfit has also been scouting the 23-year-old for some time now. Even though the asking price seems high, the Red Devils seem ready to meet it, according to the report.
Semedo has an £80m release clause with Benfica, and it is speculated that this will be used as the bargaining chip in order to increase his valuation. If Mourinho indeed wants him, the fee won’t be too high for the mega rich Old Trafford club.
