What’s the story?

As reported by Mirror, Arsenal are currently interested in signing Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar this summer, as he emerges as the Gunners’ number one target and top priority.

Should the deal take place?

Arsene Wenger has always had a thing for French players, and with the club in desperate need of a promising midfielder to solidify the centre of the park, a £25 million move for the player seems like a negotiation that should be carried forward. The player has already scored 12 goals for Monaco, a stat Arsenal could do very well with.

Possibility of it happening

We rate this deal a good positive 7/10, as unsure futures of Sanchez and Ozil will convince Wenger to spend on quality players should he stay for another season as the man in charge. Moreover, Monaco always find it tough to keep hold of their players once the big boys come searching.

2. Renato Sanches to Manchester United

What’s the story?

In a set of surprising rumours to have come out lately, this one seems to stand out as one nobody would probably have ever predicted reading. The Kicker, claims that Bayern Munich might agree to sell their teenage star to Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United for a particular fee or higher.

Should the deal take place?

Apparently, the Bundesliga side are ready to offload Sanches due to his lack of impact at the club, and despite being a young player full of talent, he has only managed to complete 1 game in the entire season so far. With United full in midfield with the likes of Pogba, Mata, Fellaini, Herrera, and youngsters coming through the ranks, it might not be the best idea to reel in a player that has been short of game time and unimpressive at one of the best clubs in Europe at the moment.

Possibility of it happening

Bayern currently demand £35 million for the 19-year-old, and with the player keen to make it big in Germany and work his way into the squad while getting rid of those who doubt him, the possibility of this deal actually coming to life is a low 3/10.

3. Mariano Konyk to Barcelona

What’s the story?

The 19-year-old is all set to join the Catalan squad in the summer on a free transfer from Valencia, and as per reports coming in from Spanish outlet Marca, the young defender will immediately be a part of La Masia as soon as he completes the switch.

Should the deal take place?

The defender has been an integral set up of Valencia’s youth system off late, and was extremely vital in helping his squad reach the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League campaign last term, where they were knocked out by Chelsea. With the manager leaving and the squad slowly ageing, it is a step in the positive direction for the club’s future, and investing in young talent such as Konyk is a bold but brilliant measure which should effectively be carried out.

Possibility of it happening

With the deal almost confirmed and La Masia known for reeling in talents from across the country and nurturing them into stars of future, the possibility of this negotiation is a solid and hard 10/10.

4. Jamie Vardy To Atletico Madrid

What’s the story?

Sky Sports have recently given the world of football a wonderful bit of gossip, as they claim that La Liga side and UEFA Champions League semi-finalists, Atletico Madrid, seek admiration in Jamie Vardy at the moment, and it could result in a possible transfer that sees the English striker head over to Spain in the summer.

Should the deal take place?

Jamie Vardy has had a career which has seen him move from Non-League football to being a Ballon d’Or nominee in 5 years, and after helping Leicester City to Premiership success last season, he has proved to the world his hunger for the game and determination to be the best there is. Atleti are a side who are on the verge of losing Griezmann in the summer, and with Torres growing old, Vardy might just be the answer to their next season’s striker worries.

Possibility of it happening

Vardy was a menace to Atleti in their quarter-final clash in the Champions League earlier this season, and he also managed to score a goal against the Spanish opponents. Despite it being early stages and no official contact between the clubs being made, Atletico have had a history of keeping good strikers in their squad, and Vardy certainly is one. An exciting prospect, but for now, 5/10 is the possibility of this deal happening.
