Boost For United, As Ander Herrera Is Set To Reject Offers From Barcelona
Manchester United were given a huge boost thanks to midfielder Ander Herrera, who has reportedly decided to snub offers from Barcelona to stay at the club for another season.
The Red Devils finished their league season with a disappointing 6th placed finish in the league table, but they were able to step into the Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Ajax in the Europa League final.
This will allow Jose Mourinho to lure the biggest names from Europe to Old Trafford this summer, but he will also have to make sure that he keeps the core of the squad at the club, and one player who is in danger of being lured away is midfielder Ander Herrera.
The Spanish international has been the first choice to partner Paul Pogba in the midfield this season, and he has been impeccable in the middle of the park. His energy and industry have kept Manchester United running, and he also picked up the ‘Player of the Season’ award for the Red Devils.

However, his performances have attracted interests from Catalan giants Barcelona, as they want to bring the Spaniard back to his home country.
According to reports, Barcelona’s new coach Ernesto Valverde has targeted Herrera as his priority signing this summer.
The 27-year-old has already worked with the manager during his time with Athletic Bilbao, and it is understood that Valverde is desperate for his signature.
However, ESPN sources report that Herrera is ready to snub all the offers from Barcelona to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
The midfielder is out of a contract at the end of the next season, and these Barca links are expected to land him a new lucrative deal with his current club.
Do you think Herrera is good enough to play for Barcelona?
