Alvaro Morata has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, and his wife, Alice Campello, may just have revealed that the 24-year-old striker could be very close on making the switch to Old Trafford.

Morata struggled to get regular play-time under Zinedine Zidane, and thus wants a move away from the Bernabeu. It was reported earlier that the striker’s current employers, Real Madrid, were demanding at least £70 million for the forward, after United made a massive £52.4 million proposal.

However, due to Morata’s recent wedding, any further talks about the move were put on hold, but his wife seems to have dropped the biggest hint about her husband’s future club.

The Italian model, who only follows one other club, Real Madrid, recently followed the Red Devils on Instagram, amid posting stunning pictures of her honeymoon in Seychelles.

Though such social media happenings are often ridiculed as mere rumours, it only seems fair to conclude that Campello would not start following Manchester United if Morata wasn’t set to move to Old Trafford.

It is believed that United manager Jose Mourinho, who has been regularly in contact with the Spaniard, wants to complete Morata’s signing before the Red Devil’s pre-season tour of the United States.

The Spanish international scored 15 goals in 26 La Liga appearances for Los Blancos last season.
