What’s the story?

Crystal Palace will be beginning the upcoming season of the Premier League with a new boss at the helm, and as per reports coming in from The MirrorFrank De Boer is itching to get busy in the transfer market as soon as possible. The new man in charge has a list in mind, which is headed by current Barcelona and ex-Arsenal defender, Thomas Vermaelen.

Should the deal take place?

The 31-year-old has been heavily out of favour at the Spanish club, and had to spend last season in the Serie A while playing for Roma on a loan spell. The Catalan club and his agent have reportedly admitted that the defender will not mind a move back to London, and given the interest taken by De Boor, a deal might just help him revive his career that is currently in a state of decline.

Possibility of it happening

The chances of the Belgian centre-back coming to Crystal Palace are currently 7/10.

2. Tiemoue Bakayoko To Manchester United

What’s the story?

Antonio Conte and Chelsea fans are sure to be sick of Jose Mourinho and the sight of Manchester United, after they managed to snatch away their number one target, Romelu Lukaku. Things might go from bad to worse for the London Club, as Daily Mail (via The Sun) has sensationally mentioned that the Red Devils might be swooping in to take away yet another player in Chelsea’s vision, with Tiemoue Bakayoko being the one involved this time around.

Should the deal take place?

According to the rumours doing the rounds on the internet, Monaco are eager to sell their midfielder, and are frustrated with the slow pace of the London club’s business handling. On the other hand, if Nemanja Matic fails to come to Old Trafford, Mourinho might turn his attention towards the Ligue 1 player and finish proceedings quickly. If Chelsea really wanted him, a deal should have been struck by now, and Bakayoko should choose a side that comes looking for him with intent and means business.

Possibility of it happening

The possibility of the deal taking place has fallen heavily in the recent days gone by, and is now simply at 5/10 and nothing more.

3. Dani Alves To Paris Saint-Germain

What’s the story?

The Daily Mail recently published a report stating that Dani Alves’s move to Manchester City might have taken an unexpected twist, as French giants PSG seem to have entered the competition to sign the Brazilian full-back and surprisingly lead the race in doing so.

After reportedly not arriving for a medical in Manchester, there are widespread claims that the former Juventus right-back has shockingly agreed personal terms with the French club.

Should the deal take place?

Dani Alves was a part of Pep Guardiola’s famous Barcelona team that reached the pinnacle of club football, and that relationship between the two was considered to be the cause of him going to the Etihad. The player had also confessed his admiration for the boss last month, and it was considered to be the reason behind him saying goodbye to the Serie A and its champions. Gael Clichy and Pablo Zabaleta have been released by the English club, thus meaning they are in desperate need of a full-back, making it the ideal destination for Alves to go to.

Possibility of it happening

The chances of Dani Alves going to the French capital are currently as low as 3/10.

4. Jese Rodriguez To Fiorentina

What’s the story?

Jese Rodriguez has been inching closer towards a move to the Serie A with Fiorentina being the destination, but he could be made to wait longer, as reports coming in from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia) suggest that the player’s salary has come across as a trouble for the Italian club.

Should the deal take place?

The attacker is, at the moment, on a €7m per year net payroll at PSG, and that is a fee that the side from Italy do not wish to match. Fiorentina seem interested in bringing the player in on loan for the season and signing him at the end of the campaign.

Jese has failed to deliver since his big money move from Real Madrid, and is desperate to set things right by impressing one and all as he travels around finding game time. The player needs to be on the pitch more often, and with Fiorentina offering that, either a pay cut or his parent club paying a portion of the wages is a conclusion that must soon be reached.

Possibility of it happening

The chances of him going to Italy are currently 6/10.
