Morata Is A Red, But Only On His Head, As His Man United Move Collapses
Alvaro Morata prematurely dyed his hair red, as he expected to complete a summer switch to Manchester United this summer, according to reports.
The Real Madrid striker was all set to make a move to Old Trafford, and was keen to impress fans right from the get go.
Recent images from Real’s training camp appear to show Morata’s trim having a sort of redish ginger streak to it. It appears the 24-year-old decided to shave his hair off, after it became clear that the transfer would not go through.
Jose Mourinho was keen on bringing Morata to the Theatre of Dreams this summer as a replacement for the released Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, United and Real could not come to a financial agreement regarding the move, as it appears the La Liga giants were asking for more than the Premier League club were willing to pay.

Instead, the Red Devils decided to turn their focus over to Romelu Lukaku, and the Belgian ended up signing for the club instead, for a massive £75 million fee that could rise to £90 million in add-ons.

“I don’t like to speak about players who aren’t ours because Morata is not our player. I am nobody to speak about players from Real Madrid,” Mourinho said, when asked about the Spaniard’s failed move.
“Yes, we have had interest, that is obvious and it’s public. We have not come to an economic agreement, that is obvious as well. But it’s a Real Madrid’s right to ask for their players the amount of money that they want. We do not determine what the price is of a player of Real Madrid, Real Madrid do that.
“And we didn’t arrive at an agreement with Real Madrid. I do not criticise Madrid and I am not going to criticise my board because my board has made the offer, and they have tried to reach an agreement during a time, and they didn’t come to an agreement. It’s simple.”
