Real Madrid To Offload Gareth Bale To Boost Their Kylian Mbappe Pursuit

Real Madrid are not among the clubs to give up easy on their transfer targets. The reigning European Champions have been linked with Monaco striker Kylain Mbappe long before the transfer window officially begun, and now, they seem to be making another effort to bring him to the Spanish capital.
In fact, Los Blancos are reportedly ready to sell their star forward Gareth Bale, so as to create the funds required for a £120 million bid for the Monaco youngster.
With other prospective buyers in Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid would have to show their intent to the Ligue 1 champions only by a solid bid. But the Express claims that the only way the La Liga giants would be willing to cough up that amount of money would be by offloading one of their best.
The Welsh International had been struggling with fitness for a major duration last season, which forced him to sit out for Real’s UEFA Champions League victory against Juventus in the finals. With Isco performing exceptionally as a replacement, the club is not ignoring the possibility of his move.
Previously, the Bernabeu outfit was backing its hopes on Alvaro Morata’s £80 million move to Manchester United, but that switch fell flat, as the Red Devils signed Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

Bale made a move to the city of Madrid 4 years ago for a humongous transfer fee of £85.3 million, and displayed his quality in the subsequent seasons. Currently valued close to £100 million, there are not a lot of clubs capable of paying that kind of money.
United would not be willing to spend that big for the forward, as they have just splurged on Romelu Lukaku. And while Kylian Mbappe has previously stated that he would like to play for Real Madrid in the future, he has also not displayed any disinterest of continuing another season with his current club.
Meanwhile, Bale’s £350,000-a-week contract runs up until 2022, and the player wishes to seek the first team starter position in most games rather than being benched. Despite several rumors, the 27-year-old has joined his club on their pre-season tour to the USA.
A move away for the former Spurs star seems unlikely, but as they say: Only time will tell how the situation unfolds.
