Everyone Is Loving Lyon’s Kenny Tete After What He Did Against Neymar
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has been on fire since his arrival in France, but the £198 million-rated star had a difficult day at the office during PSG’s 2-0 victory over Lyon last night.
A match which saw many controversial moments involving the Brazilian, a particular instance during which the former Barcelona man was utterly humiliated, came in the early stages of the game, when he was nutmegged by a Lyon defender while trying a flip-flop trick.
Kenny Tete caught many people’s eyes for his brilliant performances in the Eredivisie for Ajax, and by keeping the world’s most expensive player relatively quiet, the 21-year-old appears to be building a very strong reputation for himself in France as well.
During the 18th minute of the clash, Neymar went one-on-one with the young defender and attempted to showcase a neat flip-flop trick, which was made famous by Ronaldinho, only to be left stunned by a reverse nutmeg.
Tete stood his ground while the Brazilian tried to pull off the stunt and casually nudged the ball through the 25-year-old’s open legs, leaving the striker sprawled out on the pitch looking embarrassed.
Twitter exploded after the incident, with fans going absolutely berserk over the eye catching nutmeg on the world’s most expensive footballer.

If there was ever a guy to limit Neymar to human levels of take-ons, it's Kenny Tete.
Brilliant defender 1v1: very intense, very clever. ⛔ pic.twitter.com/MpHgvIwYAl

Only 35 minutes in but Kenny Tete is doing a fine job shutting down Neymar who's had to move off the left wing to find more joy.

Neymar has completed 39 take-ons in four Ligue 1 games this season.
He's yet to complete one versus OL and 21-year-old, Kenny Tete.

HALF-TIME: #PSG 0-0 #Lyon. OL holding the league leaders, with Kenny Tete doing as good a job of looking after Neymar as anyone this season.

However, unfortunately for the Lyon defender, his night did not end on a high, after he was roasted for PSG’s second goal, which was assisted by substitute Giovani Lo Celso.
But still, the young right-back will fondly remember the night whenever he reminisces about his career’s top matches. On the other hand, Neymar would reflect back on the clash as one of the rare nights to forget.
