Ronaldo is known to have a big ego, as he likes to be the main man in his team. Quite similarly, Zlatan has a huge ego of his own, which was not welcomed by the Real Madrid talisman at the Bernabeu. Therefore, the ex-Man United star apparently made it clear that he wouldn’t want to play alongside Ibrahimovic and share the limelight he craves.
Thus, the La Liga giants had no choice but to drop the pursuit of the Swedish striker, as they did not want to upset their superstar. Understandably, Zinedine Zidane would have liked to add a forward of Zlatan’s quality to his options, especially after the sale of Alvaro Morata to Chelsea.
