After suffering from a recent injury, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has told Paul Pogba to take a few days off before starting his injury recovery.

The Frenchman was struck with a hamstring injury during his side’s 3-0 win over Swiss giants Basel in the UEFA Champions League. Therefore, Pogba is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks before he fully recovers from his hamstring strain.

However, according to The Sun, following the unfortunate knock, the United boss has granted his £89 million-rated record signing a 10-day holiday before the commencement of his recovery sessions.

Pogba has been the Red Devils’ main man in the midfield alongside new arrival Nemanja Matic. Though the former Juventus man will be thoroughly missed, an in-form Marouane Fellaini is set to take his place.

Nonetheless, the Portuguese manager will be gutted to know his talented French midfielder will likely miss the Red Devils’ crucial fixture away against Liverpool on October 14.

The former Real Madrid manager was believed to be unhappy with Pogba anyway, as the player reportedly ignored the advice of the club’s medical staff. The 24-year-old is now due for a second scan to further check the depth of his injury.
