Rio Ferdinand has won it all at club level football during his 12-year Manchester United career, including 6 Premier League titles and a Champions League as well.

The defender clearly had a number of great players around him at the club as well, and he has now revealed the names of two players he rated the highest.

When quizzed on this topic, the Englishman revealed: “Probably Paul Scholes and Cristiano Ronaldo. Scholesy was just pure talent, Ronaldo was just a devastating finisher.”

The decorated centre-back has always spoken of the admiration he has for Ronaldo and Scholes time to time.

Now a football pundit, the retired defender often gets excited to see the Portuguese play for Real Madrid, and he tends to act like a proper fan of the former Manchester United winger.

Retired from football, Ferdinand is all set to try a totally different sport, as he approaches a debut in professional boxing. The 38-year-old seems to be in great shape, with a dedicated fitness regime to prepare for the latest adventure in his life.
