Man Utd Handed An Incredible Boost As Zlatan Returns To Training

The self-proclaimed King of Manchester, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has finally returned to first-team training following his horrific injury earlier this year.

The decorated striker suffered a long-term injury last season, during his side’s Europa League quarter-final clash. Ibrahimovic was seen landing awkwardly whilst trying to win an aerial duel. It was later revealed that the Swede had sustained a torn ACL, and was consequently ruled out for the rest of 2017.

However, the good wishes of the United faithful seems to have sped up his recovery, as the former Barcelona man has finally returned to first-team training.

According to The Sun, Ibrahimovic has been training regularly for the past week or so through subtle workouts and sessions. Though still not at full capacity, the former Swedish international is believed to be “around 90 percent” of his full potential.

Meanwhile, physical contact with the talented frontman has been limited by the club medics in order to maintain his healthy recovery, but he is already up and running. The report also adds that Ibra took part in excess workout even after his teammates concluded theirs.

Clearly, the Swedish giant has handed the Red Devils an important boost, which they did need to catch up to Pep Guardiola’s high flying Man City. Jose Mourinho will be looking to exploit Zlatan’s early return to his full advantage in order to catch the Cityzens.

The 36-year-old is expected to return by early December, just in time to face Arsenal. With Romelu Lukaku as another lethal option, the Gunners may need to brace themselves for an incoming storm.
