The Main Difference Between Jose Mourinho And Pep Guardiola

Former Premier League star Jamie Redknapp has gone on to explain the big differences between world-class managers Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.
The Portuguese tactician was heavily criticised by pundits as well as Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after a highly defensive approach at Anfield that earned his side a 0-0 draw. Jose has been accused of going into the game with a negative mindset, but this has often been his philosophy versus top teams in away ties.
Redknapp was debating on the two managers alongside former Arsenal player Ian Wright in The Debate on Sky Sports, and although the former defended Mourinho, he added that both managers see football differently.

Man City are currently flying high and racking up the goals that see them play high-flowing football, but the Citizens and the Red Devils are still separated by just two points, with eight games gone in the Premier League.
Speaking on the issue, Redknapp stated: “City are a different team to Manchester United. We’re talking about Jose Mourinho by the way. We are talking about two completely different managers who have a completely different mindset. They see football completely different. Mourinho and Guardiola, they don’t see the game the same.”
The current television pundit went on to add the main difference between the two managers, and proclaimed: “Mourinho sees it defensively, Pep Guardiola sees the beautiful game.”
As Mourinho saw his side notch up a second successive 0-0 draw on their trip to Anfield, Pep’s team thrashed Stoke City 7-2 in a complete dominating display on the same day. Mourinho is known to be a pragmatic manager, and has been successful in his brand of football.
Although the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager has been criticised for not playing the United way of attacking football at all times, his approach saw the club win three trophies last season. This term, too, he has got off to a great start, both domestically and in Europe.
