Announcement Soon: Man United Working To Finalize FOUR Deals
Manchester United have been on the top of their game, and look to be heading into the second half of the season in an incredible manner. The latter half will also bring with it the transfer window, a place where the Red Devils have shown immense activity in the recent seasons, and fans will be hoping for more of just that.
However, before bringing in new talent, Jose Mourinho will have the headache of aptly dealing with the bunch of players he already has, and according to reports, he is doing just that.
As per The Sun, Manchester United are looking to renew the contracts of Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini, Phil Jones and Ander Herrera.

All four players are currently in the final years of their agreements with the Premier League giants, and have already had their extension year clause activated.
The same source cited a senior Old Trafford figure to have revealed: “You’ll be seeing a huge raft of renewals over the coming weeks before the festive period. It is sort of a positive PR rollout, to keep everyone happy from the playing staff to the fans. There are at least four and possibly more all getting raises and extensions on Jose’s say so.”
Further, the extensions of Mata and Fellaini seem like a no-brainer, with the ex-Chelsea man’s precision of quality and experience deemed necessary for the outfit. The Belgian midfielder, on the other hand, has proven himself to be instrumental, especially after the injury of Paul Pogba, and an extension will surely hush the interest from other clubs.
The same applies for Phil Jones, who has shrugged aside his bad form of the past seasons, and has started this one in a simply remarkable fashion.
However, the situation of Ander Herrera might prove to be tricky. The Spaniard, despite being named United’s Player of the Year last season, has found himself only being used due to the injury-riddled absence of Pogba, Carrick and Fellaini in midfield.
Regardless of whether or not any of them are sold, renewals are a clever ploy by the club to ensure none of them leave for free, and that a decent amount of cash can be raked in should any club prove to be interested.
