Jose Mourinho has led his Manchester United side to their best start of the campaign since the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down. However, that hasn’t stopped him from already being linked to other high-profile moves, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly eyeing the tactician.

That’s according to Manchester Evening News, who reported that the French giants have contacted Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes, to discuss about a possible switch to Paris.

Reports of the Portuguese’s move to the French capital have grown in frequency after he publicly expressed his admiration for the Ligue 1 outfit, even going as far as labeling them as ‘special’ during a recent interview with French television station Telefoot.

“The other day my son who lives in London went to Paris and not to Manchester to watch the match,” said the former Real Madrid boss [via M.E.N Sport]. “At the moment in Paris there is something special. Magic, quality, youth, it’s fantastic.”

It’s safe to say that PSG blew the footballing world away during the summer with their exploits in the transfer market. The Qatari-owned club managed to cough up over €250 million in the process of landing the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Naturally, Mourinho, who feels the Mancunian club needs to back him up better in the transfer market, according to M.E.N Sport, would consider the flexible transfer market transactions at the Parc Des Princes a perfect environment for him.

Unfortunately, that may well end up being the end result of the Red Devils’ apparent failure to back their manager when it matters. Though the ex-Chelsea boss himself has spent over £200 million in transfers since his appointment last season, risking his departure is probably something the Old Trafford higher-ups wouldn’t want to experience.

Nevertheless, the 54-year-old currently seems satisfied with life in Manchester as of now, and his side is still considered one of the favourites to lift the Premier League title at the end of the season, despite the recent poor form.
