Antoine Griezmann’s elusive saga with Man United saw some headway recently, when his brother posted a picture of Old Trafford on his Twitter, before deleting the account itself. The post sent the English club’s fans into a frenzy.

Now, the Atletico Madrid star himself seems to have followed his brother’s footsteps, as he has sent out a cryptic message of his own with a picture of another United target in tow.

The tweet from his official account showed the photo of a smiling Mesut Ozil. The two had crossed paths on Tuesday during France and Germany’s draw. With the Arsenal playmaker also a major target of the Red Devils, this was one sign that fans couldn’t miss.

Interestingly, the tweet contained no words, with the Frenchman electing to use emojis as his weapon of choice to spread confusion. It would certainly take a cryptologist to decipher what the hand, smiley face, chef, and football emojis could have in common.

Regardless, fans stormed to Twitter to draw conclusions of their own, most of them detailing sensational transfers in favour of the Mancunian giants.

On a more serious note, it will take a very tactical approach on the part of the Red Devils to indeed secure the two very talented players.

Ozil, being in his final year of contract with the Gunners, coupled with the close relationship he has with Mourinho, is what speculated the strong interest. But apart from that, no concrete source has indicated about any more developments in that area.

Indeed, it is this tweet that seems to have provided the most recent excitement in those two potential transfers, and the Old Trafford outfit’s supporters will be hoping that something real comes out of it.
