Juventus Reject The Chance To Sign Marouane Fellaini
The modern game has become a maze of transfer offers and major decisions for the players to travel through, and more often than not, a wrong choice is made. This occurs as they try to strike a balance between receiving adequate game time as well as remain with a fairly popular outfit.
Such a decision lies in the hands of Marouane Fellaini, who as per Goal, has rejected Manchester United’s latest attempts at renewing his contract, and has apparently set his sights elsewhere.
According to the same source, Fellaini’s agent approached Serie A giants Juventus over a potential move, but it seems that the proposal is met with rejection, as the Old Lady outfit isn’t interested in the Belgian as their first choice.
The future of the 29-year-old has been in question for quite a while now, with a move to Turkey also believed to be in discussion. But all of it is quite a shocker considering how highly Jose Mourinho values him, as well as the renewed form he displayed at United prior to his injury.
Even now, it is his return that will be a vital cog to make Mourinho’s side function best despite the returns of key men like Pogba and Ibrahimović.
Further, Juventus’ refusal is attributed to other midfield options on their radar, the most prominent amongst those being Liverpool’s Emre Can. The German too, is on his last year of contract, and Juventus are believed to be heavily interested.
Should he pen his future at Anfield, it will be Schalke’s young talent Leon Goretzka that they will look to target instead. If all fails, perhaps they will look back at Fellaini and consider his deal.
But all of that is still farfetched, as it seems more and more likely that Mourinho will convince the management to give Fellaini a contract worth his abilities.
