Mourinho’s Priority Signing For January Window Revealed

Jose Mourinho’s main target is to get a left-back to add more dynamism in the squad, as reports have claimed that Luke Shaw looks destined to be sold in January.
The Portuguese is said to have identified Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose as the main man to replace Shaw, and help Ashley Young and Daley Blind in the defensive set-up.
As United are trying to unsettle rivals Man City from the top spot in the Premier League and also vying for other trophies, it is a top priority for the manager to get in Rose, as per Independent.
Besides Rose, the club is said to be interested in Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler and Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil as well. But it is highly likely that the duo will arrive in the summer of 2018 rather than January.
Soler is expected to replace veteran skipper Michael Carrick, and Ozil’s availability as a free agent in the summer has United interested. But now, the focus is on the winter transfer window, and Jose knows he has to sell a few of his current players before buying new ones.
Rose hasn’t featured regularly for Spurs since his return from injury, but he seems to be the ideal player for the Mancunian club.

Rose would garner at least around £50 million, and the Old Trafford hierarchy know they will have to persuade Spurs to sell him for a lesser sum given his absence in matches this term.
Certain reports claim that Shaw could be included in a swap deal with Rose, but Spurs aren’t interested in this kind of deal. Therefore, Jose will be keen to listen to offers for the youngster from other interested clubs like Newcastle United and Fenerbahce.
The England outcast is valued at £20m, and that could help the side significantly in getting Rose to Old Trafford. Mourinho is wary about the quality he has at the left-back position, and Rose will add a lot of steel, as the 27-year-old has experience with both Spurs and England.
