Mourinho Wants €45m Midfielder To Replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Jose Mourinho has reportedly set his eyes on Inter Milan ace, Joao Mario, to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan in midfield.
Mkhitaryan has featured just once in United’s last seven matches, and is also said to have “demanded showdown talks” with the Special One after being left out of the squad for the Manchester Derby last weekend.
And as of now, Corriere dello Sport (via Metro) reports that Mourinho seems to be more focused on adding more quality to his side, with Inter’s Joao Mario emerging as a potential candidate for the role.

It was claimed that the Red Devils would ideally like to go forward with the move once the transfer window re-opens in January.
It has been suggested that a swap deal between the two European powerhouses could see the Armenian international move to Inter on loan until the end of the season.

However, the San Siro outfit might further be interested in selling the Portuguese midfielder for €45 million (£39.5 million) – the amount for which they initially brought him to Italy from Sporting last season.
The 24-year-old hasn’t hit the ground running in the Serie A, primarily because of the lack of regular game time. Mario has started just four league games this campaign, and last week, multiple reports emerged stating that the Portuguese starlet was interested to leave Inter.
The Premier League heavyweights won’t be the only club in the race to sign the highly rated midfielder, though, as Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, have also expressed an interest in him.
But again, if Mario did decide to make a move to France, his playing time would be limited because of the tight competition in PSG’s line-up.
