Sergio Romero appears likely to exit Manchester United sooner or later owing to lack of opportunities.

The Argentine hasn’t made a single appearance for the Mancunian club in the league this season, although he has featured five times in domestic and European cup competitions.

Regardless, if the talented goalkeeper wishes to maintain his skills at the peak, he could be forced to look for greener pastures in the near future.

Furthermore, in order to feature in the 23-man squad to compete in Russia over the summer, the players must be getting regular football at their respective clubs, according to Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli.

As per the Independant, a source close to the United man reported: “Sergio has offers from the Premier League, Argentina and Spain. He knows he needs to play and the appropriate people in Manchester are aware too.”

The Red Devils’ star is said to be facing opposition from a few contenders for his position as Argentina No.1.

The 30-year-old has 93 caps in total for his country, and has played every single minute of Argentina’s 18-match qualifying campaign for this summer’s tournament.

Under Jose Mourinho, the skillful keeper is not purportedly receiving the appreciation and opportunities he deserve, which could form the basis for his move away from Old Trafford. However, his current contract remains intact till 2021.

According to a few recent reports, Arsenal had portrayed their interest in snatching the celebrated player out of Manchester. With the transfer window being open, supporters might witness a transfer for the former Sampdoria man.
