Jose Mourinho Wants These Four World Class Players To Reshape His Squad
It seems as if there are no bounds to Jose Mourinho’s spending sprees, as he plans to make four major signings ahead of next season.
According to The Independent, the United boss has held serious discussions with club vice-chairman Ed Woodward following their Champions League knockout by the hands of Sevilla.
Following this meeting, the two have reportedly arrived at the conclusion that the squad requires more quality players if immediate improvement is needed.
To do so, Mourinho wants a defensive partner to play alongside Eric Bailly, so as to strengthen what seems to be the Red Devils’ weakest area. Barcelona fan-favourite Samuel Umtiti and Tottenham Hotspur star Toby Alderweireld are prime candidates on the radar.

Signing a controlling midfielder also seems to be a huge priority this summer. Further, with whispers of Paul Pogba being dissatisfied at Old Trafford, the gaffer wants to bring in Marco Verratti as a possible replacement, if necessary.

However, the plausibility of such an event is still unlikely, especially since the club ideally wants the relationship between Jose and the Frenchman mended as soon as possible. Therefore, pursuing the PSG star is said to be a contingency plan.
Further, it was also reported that another midfielder’s arrival is possible. As Real Madrid keep their resolve strong to sign David De Gea, whose current contract is set to expire in 2019, an attempt to sign Toni Kroos could be made.
However, the Mancunian giants have no interest in letting go of one their best player, and are set to offer the shot-stopper a brand new contract, on par with the likes of Pogba and Alexis Sanchez.
