Sanchez Explains The Difference Between Manchester United And Arsenal

Manchester United and Arsenal will be the next big Premier League clash to look out for. Both sides have been at the highlight of English football for more or less the entirety of their existence, and arguably boast the most passionate fans of the lot.

This encounter, in particular, will be one that Arsene Wenger will be intent on winning, being his last against both a bitter rival and a competent manager. The rivalry between Wenger and Jose Mourinho is already in the history books, and will be one that will be missed once the French gaffer bids farewell.

But another individual for whom this will be an interesting fixture is Alexis Sanchez. This is the first encounter he’ll have against his former club since his move to United back in the winter.

Sanchez’s time at the Emirates was a bittersweet one, despite starting on a fond note. By the time reports of his dissatisfaction were out, it was clear that the Chilean wasn’t having the most ideal time in London.

But lightning can strike twice, and the 29-year-old has made it clear that Manchester United need to win big in order to remain relevant.

A similar emotion was echoed on MUTV, when the prolific forward was asked what was different between the two English giants. He replied: “It is very different here. I think United is a club with more history and we want to win trophies next year.”

He isn’t oblivious to his own shortcomings either, as he goes on to say: “We need to keep progressing; United is a big club, to which I am still adapting, and I am looking forward to giving everything I’ve got next year and aiming to win everything there is to win.”

His bullet-like knock into the back of the net against Tottenham in the FA Cup was just a picturesque part of an outing in which the former Barcelona player was at his finest, mimicking a style he showed to great success in the second half against Manchester City as well.
