As of such, managers of several powerhouses will be eager to wrap up their intended deals well before the tournament commences. Here are 10 such deals that can go through:

Umtiti to Manchester United

The Frenchman has been in the transfer news for quite a while now. With Manchester United reportedly having met with the 24-year-old (Diario Gol), this is one deal that Mourinho will be eager to wrap up, as other players like PSG may enter the race. With reports also claiming that is a contract extending ruse on part of the player, what exactly will occur?

Wayne Rooney to DC United

The Everton dream might soon come to an end, as the highly successful Englishman is reportedly finalizing a deal that will take him to the United States. While DC aren’t the most renowned of the MLS outfits, they’ll be hoping that signing the former England striker will do the trick to better their hopes.

Nabil Fekir to Liverpool

Liverpool are eager to establish themselves as a serious European player even beyond this season of Champions League success. The 24-year-old Frenchman will bring a creative depth to their squad that is bound to result in ever more goals considering their frontline. A deal nearly done?

Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona

Frenchmen seem like a staple on this list, and in this case, it is Barcelona that will be hoping to welcome the Atletico Madrid star to their ranks. Emre Can to Juventus

The German is assuredly exit-bound at the end of this season, which is also the reason behind the Reds’ hunt for the likes of Fekir. However, it is Juventus that will be likely to sign the German. With reports suggesting that a last-ditch contract demand has been refused by Liverpool (Mirror), this deal may be done and dusted in a matter of days.

Mourinho has been eager to offload him from quite a while now, and this will bring to an end a tumultuous period for the once prized youngster at Old Trafford. As of now, it seems likely that Spurs will be the ones that will give the Englishman some renewed hope.

At 27, the Brazilian is a regular at Juventus, but reports of United interest are rife, and Mourinho is renowned for being quick at getting his wishlist done.

Neymar to Real Madrid

Neymar is back in the transfer news, and this time around, one journalist is adamant that the Brazilian’s future is with Real Madrid, and sooner than one would think. Speaking in interesting terms, Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda quipped:

“I do not say that Madrid is going to sign Neymar, I say that Neymar except a last minute surprise will play at Real Madrid next season. The dream of Real Madrid is that the forward will become Salah, Cristiano (Ronaldo) and Neymar and the Brazilian can be a Madrid player even before the World Cup.”

Jorginho to Manchester City

Italy won’t be among the nations playing in the World Cup, and as of such, their players will be peak meat for the transfer season due to time being freed from preparation. Topping this list is Jorginho, who has been on Pep Guardiola’s radar for quite a while now. The Sky Blues are said to have a £53 million bid ready for Napoli.

Anthony Martial to Juventus

You didn’t think we were done with Frenchmen, did you? However, Mourinho apparently is, as he is yet to make a clarification on the future of Martial. Several reports claim that the gaffer doesn’t entirely trust the 22-year-old with offensive roles. As of such, it is Juventus that are ahead in the race to sign the player of massive potential, while names like Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also in the running.
