Mo Salah is truly the player of this season. The Egyptian has been in fiery form all campaign, guiding Liverpool to a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League as well as a strongly-found place in the finals of the UEFA Champions League, where they have booked a game against Real Madrid.

The Spanish club have been strong suitors for the 25-year-old, who has scored 32 Premier League goals.

The 32nd arrived on their final league game of the season, when 26-minutes into the fixture against Brighton, Salah broke a Premier League record. The game ended 4-0 to Liverpool.

The record he broke was the highest goal-scoring tally in a Premier League season, also grabbing the Golden Boot while he was at it.

Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Luis Suarez have all reached the 31-goal mark in prior 38-game seasons, but it took a special effort from the Egyptian to outdo all three legendary players.

As expected, Twitter went berserk at the accomplishment and expressed their joy quite well.

Salah has truly achieved remarkable things this campaign, and many already expect him to be the talisman in Kiev, where Real Madrid may indeed have a tough time containing him from rounding up the season with the UEFA glory to his name.

Harry Kane’s 30-goal tally was just shy of Salah’s mark, and the Egyptian remarked jubilantly when accepting the award: “It is very special to be honest. It is always in my mind to help the team, and it was always in my mind to come back to England (after a disappointing spell at Chelsea).”

Will Ronaldo’s other feats be surpassed by Salah as well?
