Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Manchester United is a fairytale saga that seems to be ever elusive and yet draws ever closer.
The Portuguese superstar’s post-Champions League comments brought several factors into the loop regarding an exit. The events since have not done anything to ease the possibility either.
As a result, one is left with a saga that is still very much in the balance, and now, numerous updates suggest that it could all go United’s way after all.
According to El Gol Digital, Real Madrid are now finally willing to offload the 33-year-old forward.
This is in line with past reports that showed strong signs that the former United star is unhappy with his present contract, and is not willing to sign on Madrid’s alleged updated terms either. The report adds that he has very few supporters amongst his teammates.

This has been understood as a sign on part of Madrid indicating that he is free to leave, but the enormous release clause in his current deal is bound to make matters more complicated.
Further, the Express claims that Ronaldo is one of the favorites that Ed Woodward is eager to bring to Old Trafford, and it goes without saying that it may also be the growing consensus for a majority of the Mancunian outfit with the added blessing of Madrid willing to accept a potential bid.

To add this possibility is the report that Los Blancos’ new manager, Julen Lopetegui, would be more than willing to get rid of Ronaldo, particularly in view of the fact that Madrid are earnestly targeting Neymar instead.
The former Spain gaffer has publicly chosen Messi over Ronaldo in the past, and despite his recent press conference stating that Ronaldo is a superior player, this is a point that may stick into their side for a while yet.
Lastly, the fact that Ronaldo may be merely wishing for a far better deal with the La Liga giants, and is not willing for a departure, is not only probable, but judging by past trends, quite likely.
