Real Madrid star midfielder Luka Modric has lately been enjoying some of the best days of his life.
He has played a commanding role in helping Real to three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles, besides guiding Croatia to the final of the FIFA World Cup 2018.
Modric recently won the UEFA Player of the Year for his excellent performance in the 2017-18 campaign. He was named the best midfielder of the UCL campaign too.
The Croatian bagged the awards after winning the Golden Ball earlier in July for his excellent show at the World Cup in Russia.

But Ronaldo didn’t let his feelings out on Modric. The former Manchester United player sent a congratulatory text to the midfielder the next day.
Modric revealed the same, and admitted what matters to him is Ronaldo showing a gesture to send him a text, as he stated: “He [Ronaldo] spoke to me.

“He sent me a congratulatory message saying, ‘I’m happy for you, you deserve it, and I hope to see you soon’. As I said, we have a good relationship, no matter what people say. What matters is that he sent me a message after winning.”
Modric had remained quiet prior to that on Ronaldo giving the event a miss and being angry. But now, with his latest revelation, he has calmed the situation besides highlighting everything is well.
