Mourinho Explains Why Alexis Sanchez Is Struggling At United
Alexis Sanchez seems inevitably certain to follow in the woes of all players at Manchester United who have worn the no.7 jersey after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
With a mere 4 goals to his names and a series of uninspiring performances, the Chilean hasn’t been able to live up to the player that was hyped up at the Theatre of Dreams last winter.
In fact, with each game that goes by, Jose Mourinho seems to be losing his patience with the forward, with all of his recent performances coming off the bench.
Now, for their next home game against Everton, Sanchez will not feature again, and the reason for his absence is one that Mourinho attributes to his entire blend of struggles as a Red Devil.

A groin injury will keep him out of the team against the Toffees, and announcing the news during his pre-match press conference, Mourinho stated: “In this moment he’s struggling because he’s injured.
“We come to the Chelsea match to try to help the team, but his physical condition was not good and then he had to stop and was not available for Juventus and is not available for tomorrow again, so now is to be physically in the best conditions.”

He then went on to elucidate why the 29-year-old has been having a hard time: “He arrived January, in the first period of the season for him, I don’t think is ever an easy situation for a player.
“But this season he had a good start a good pre-season, he started well against Leicester, and then he was injured. Then he came back and was injured again and he is the kind of player that needs to be really really sharp to play his best game.”
Now, it will be interesting to see just how the Chilean, who seems to have all but played out his peak, will try and engineer a comeback.
