Jose Mourinho Sings Praises For Marouane Fellaini After Win Over Juve
Manchester United stunned Juventus with two goals in the final five minutes to beat the Serie A champions in the Group H encounter of the UEFA Champions League in Turin.
Spaniard Juan Mata curled in a free-kick with five minutes to go, before Ashley Young’s set-piece was bundled into his own net by Juventus defender Alex Sandro. Earlier, Cristiano Ronaldo had put the hosts ahead with an outstanding volley in the 65th minute.
Ronaldo watched Leonardo Bonucci’s long pass over his shoulder before lashing it past United goalkeeper David De Gea for his first goal in the competition since moving to the side.
Ander Herrera was by far one of the best midfield players on the pitch, as he provided a link and dynamism between defence and attack. Manager Jose Mourinho then got the added bonus of Marouane Fellaini, who was coming back from an injury return.

The Belgian got to play the final 10 minutes at the Old Lady. Since his return to the pitch, United were more direct, and threatened more, which resulted for the change of fortunes.
“We managed to win because we played a very, very positive match and we looked for the victory to the very end. We looked for it,” said a satisfied Jose Mourinho.

“Fellaini changes the game, most often at home. We didn’t have him in the first leg, Juventus introduced (Andrea) Barzagli to control us, but we immediately went direct and got the goals.”

The Portuguese also explained the introduction of Juan Mata as a substitute: “We introduced Juan Mata not for the free-kicks, but to put the crosses in for Fellaini, who always dominates in the air.”
Manchester United stay 2nd in the UCL group, with 7 points from 4 matches.
