David De Gea Features Atop Juventus’ Transfer Wishlist

Just when Real Madrid’s desire for acquiring David De Gea seemed to have come to an end and Manchester United looked comfortable with their majestic shot-stopper, fate may have struck again.

At the present moment, it’s De Gea’s nearly expired contract that is the cause of woe at Old Trafford.

Many reports claim that repeated attempts at providing the Spaniard with a fresh deal have failed, with De Gea allegedly not too happy with the way United are playing,  and is also frustrated with the lack of silverware to his name.

As of such, the club will have to make a choice to either sell him quick or activate a 12-month extension clause in his contract, and then let him go for free. Now, the interest of one European giant won’t make matters easy for the Red Devils.

As per Tuttosport, David De Gea tops Juventus’ wish list for future transfers, as the Italian giants look eager to stamp their presence on European football. Having already acquired Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this summer, the side is now all set to splurge again.

The report adds that De Gea is joined by James Rodriguez and Ruben Neves as players that the Old Lady wishes to add to their roster.

All three seem to share the common fold of being somewhat doubtful in their current locations. Further, the report adds that the role of Jorge Mendes will be crucial in the Serie A champions’ attempts at landing any of them.

Further, De Gea’s recent woes for both club and country may prove to be positive catalysts in ensuring that he switches sides.

His recent stints with United have been uncharacteristically problematic at the back, although that may also be more of a comment at how flawed Mourinho’s backline truly is at Old Trafford. Will De Gea leave after all?
