Jose Mourinho ‘Really Interested’ In Signing €50m-Rated Centre-Back
Manchester United have lodged their interest in Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
The talented centre-back, who joined the Italian side last season, has since been quite impressive in the Serie A.
His displays have caught the eyes of several suitors like Juventus and Valencia, along with Premier League giants Manchester United, who seem to be in desperate need of defensive reinforcements.
With an aim to sign a centre-back as soon as the January transfer window reopens, Jose Mourinho has begun his pursuit of Milenkovic – a player he is ‘really interested’ in, according to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira.

In fact, the Red Devils’ boss even sent scouts to watch the Serbian international in action during Fiorentina’s recent league encounter with Sassuolo on Sunday.
The game did not end too well for the 21-year-old, however, as he was sent off, with the match ending 3-3.

Despite the unfortunate outcome, there’s no denying that the versatile defender, who can play as a centre-back as well as a right-back, packs a great amount of talent, and is worthy of interest from top European clubs.
Fiorentina’s director of football, Andrea Della Valle, values the young starlet at €50 million. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United meet this valuation, or decide to pursue other options instead.
