What Solskjaer Wants Sir Alex Ferguson To Do Before The Liverpool Clash

Since taking over the interim managerial role at Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not hesitated in using traditional methods and seeking help from every possible source to ensure a victory for his side.
On numerous occasions, the Norwegian has called upon his former boss, the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, to help motivate the Red Devils, be it through words or his mere presence.
Now, the 45-year-old has admitted that he could consider doing the same for the coming weekend as well, when the Mancunian giants take on Liverpool in one of the biggest Premier League clashes of the season.
In his pre-match press conference ahead of the tie, Solskjaer was quoted as saying the following :

“He (Sir Alex) would be welcome to have his talk to the players if he wanted to, the Gaffer, because we know how much it meant for him to overtake Liverpool [in terms of league titles]. I think our players know what it means for everyone at Man United.”
Ole was further questioned about his own strategy to inflict a damaging defeat to Liverpool, to which he replied: “I wouldn’t tell anyone, would I?”

Lastly, Solskjaer also admitted that his side will have to perform far better than it did against PSG in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie, as he added: “We have to perform better than we did against PSG, because it’s a big game, a big team.
“We’re not underdogs any more, people praise us, now is the time to play them. We need to learn from that experience against PSG, because we didn’t perform to the level that we wanted to, even though they should have had ten men and we should have had 11 when it was quite even.”
