Ole Gunnar Solslkjaer remains unbeaten in the Premier League with Manchester United as the Red Devils rioted over Southampton to win 3-2 in a dramatic fixture that had to wait until late to be settled.

Let us have a look at how the players fared during their first home win in three games across all competitions:

David De Gea- 5.3

Poor showing and he could have done a little bit more to try and properly save both the goals.

Ashley Young- 7.1

Decent showing from the Englishman but he was lucky to not have his fouls caught and give away a penalty. It was his reckless tackle that led to the Saints attaining the free-kick that made it 2-2.

Chris Smalling- 6.6

Felt fatigued and heavy-footed for much of the game and failed to organize the defensive coherence that United were displaying as of recent.

Victor Lindelof- 6.9

Not his best showing, but he still did no errors during the game. Was hesitant in going forward in this one.

Luke Shaw- 7.2

Brilliant flank runs and was crucial in the creation of numerous chances that more or less always ended in Lukaku and Rashford falling just short of scoring.

Andreas Pereira- 8.0

A goal, an assist and a first-class performance in a United shirt. He may have just ensured more gametime in the near future.

Scott McTominay- 7.7

Another silent but vital presence in the game. Did little wrong and could potentially give Matic a run for his gametime.

Paul Pogba- 6.6

His late penalty-miss aside, the Frenchman had a rather uninvolved game and looked little like his usual attacking and chance-taking self.

Romelu Lukaku- 8.8

The unequivocal man of the match and a returning hero. This was his second consecutive brace and he may have just secured a position versus PSG.

Marcus Rashford- 7.0

Came painstakingly close to scoring on far too many occasions. Tough luck?

Alexis Sanchez- 6.3

The worst Red Devil on the pitch and an injury to make matters worse. Is this the beginning of the end for Sanchez?

Substitutions

Diogo Dalot- 8.0

Instant impact and a crucial assist. He is making a big case for more gametime in the coming matches.

Fred- 7.0

Though underwhelming in his showing, his deft pass was at the heart of Lukaku’s winner and as of such he too qualified as a Solskjaer super-sub.

Tahith Chong – Brought on too late to make an impact.
