Manchester United have made a lot of investments over the years. While most of the expensive ones have backfired miserably, there have been many players who flourished after being sold.

Paul Pogba is perhaps the most appropriate example of that folly. Memphis Depay is another player who touched brilliance at Lyon after leaving Old Trafford.

Fans seem to be ever eager to attain these talents yet again, hoping that past flames could be the solution to United’s woes.

Wilfried Zaha is another example of such a player. Sir Alex Ferguson’s last signing at United, the starlet never got a chance to play regularly with the senior team, failing to succeed under both David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal.

Now, the Telegraph believes that a reunion may be at hand. Zaha is allegedly looking for an exit from Crystal Palace in the summer as he believes that he has already done all that he could for the side.

He is now eager for European football and his former employers may be the ideal destination, even though it is Champions League football that he desires for the long run.

The report adds that Palace value him for above £100 million as the player’s contract doesn’t expire until 2023. His recent success has also put him on the radar of several other clubs which have poised the parent club in a bargaining position, although they’ve apparently denied that they have any intention of selling him in the summer.

Further, it is understood that Zaha fears Palace will increase their asking price to an extent that no club will be able to purchase him, forcing the forward to remain at Selhurst Park. However, Zaha has allegedly asked that such a scenario shouldn’t take place and has made the same clear with the club.

With Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund also in the fray, this could be a massive saga for the summer.
