Manchester United hope to agree a deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka this week.

The Red Devils have already had their opening bid worth £40m rejected by Crystal Palace, who are hoping to pocket north of £50m for their in-demand right-back.

However, multiple sources expect Manchester United to return with an improved offer, as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified Wan-Bissaka as the ideal candidate for the right-back spot in his lineup.

Now, the Telegraph have provided an update on the situation.

As per the English outlet, the Mancunians have continued talks for the Englishman’s signature, and they hope to reach an agreement with the Eagles this week.

While the final transfer fee is yet to be decided, it is now clear that Manchester United will cough up at least £50m in order to close this deal.

Further, it appears that Palace also expect to part ways with Wan-Bissaka this summer, and they have already begun looking for his potential successors.

As per journalist Kristof Terreur, the London club has held exploratory talks with Atlanta’s Belgian full-back, Timothy Castagne.
