Man United Confident Of Signing £90m-Rated Harry Maguire
Manchester United’s defensive pursuits this season have been plenty, almost always to no avail. The supporters of the Red Devils are bordering on frustration as the side looks to continue their miserable run from the past years, most notably after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
The club simply never recovered from the transitional period and the gaffers they went through didn’t seem to help matters either.
Their rivals Manchester City have touched unprecedented heights since and now the two teams are set to lock horns on the transfer battleground.
As per the Evening Standard, both Mancunian clubs are eager to secure the signing of Harry Maguire this summer. Leicester City are proving to be tough negotiators and are demanding upwards of £90 million for the English centre-back.

This is a price that both clubs deem to be too high and as of such, it may all come down to who is willing to best bargain with the Foxes.
The need for a defender is a pressing requirement at both destinations with City looking to find a replacement for Vincent Kompany while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and company are adamant on plugging their biggest flaw.

However, the report states that City have a spending ceiling beyond which they are not willing to go. This amount is touted to be in the range of £70-80 million which is still short of Leicester’s valuation.
United are clearly the more desperate side in this situation and may be forced to meet the massive demand from the Foxes.
The report adds that Solskjaer has prioritized Maguire over Kalidou Koulibaly as the defender that Old Trafford wants this summer. This may be due to his inclination towards signing British talent.
If City do manage to rob Maguire, it may just put United supporters well beyond their tipping point.
