The Richest Person In Britain Linked With A Manchester United Takeover
A majority of Manchester United‘s global fan-base appears to have grown tired of the way their beloved club is being run by the Glazer Family.
No proper structure, business-minded decisions, and lack of focus on the footballing side of things has led the supporters to call for their owners’ heads, with the hashtag ‘#GlazersOut’ trending all over social media.
Amidst these protests, reports have emerged suggesting that the richest man in Britain has expressed his interest in buying the Old Trafford club.
According to Utd Report, Jim Ratcliffe has enquired about the possibility of purchasing Manchester United.
Founder and the CEO of the Ineos Chemicals Group, Ratcliffe was named the richest person in Britain in 2018, with his net worth rising up to £21.05 billion.

The 66-year-old is a boyhood Manchester United fan, although he has previously been linked with a bid to take over Chelsea from Russian owner Roman Abramovich.
Back in May, he was also asked about the possibility of buying a football club, to which he had responded: “I’m a tortured Manchester United fan. We [Ineos] have dipped our toe in the water with football.”
With speculation still rife, it remains to be seen whether the reports linking Ratcliffe with a United takeover have any substance to them.
But the fact remains that this would be the perfect time for the businessman to take charge of his favourite club, and alter the fortunes at the Theatre of Dreams.
