Manchester United’s philosophy this transfer window certainly requires a closer look.

It is no secret that the club decided to enter this window as if nothing had changed and were perhaps misguided of their purchasing power and the true element of attraction they’d hold after missing out on Champions League football and playing largely underwhelming football over the years.

However, they were swift to amend their woes and rapidly fulfilled the transfers of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, names that while not strictly within the realms of marquee singings, were still exciting prospects that addressed crucial flaws.

Going forward, much has been said about what their mindset will be in the final weeks of the window. Will the club continue to rely on upcoming names or will a big-name signing be attempted?

Italian outlet Tuttosport (via Metro) believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wishes to end the window on a high note and is urging Manchester United to complete the signing of Paulo Dybala from Juventus.

The Argentine forward, who has been linked with the Red Devils on multiple occasions in the past, only very recently emerged on this season’s transfer radar.

Most reports cited that Juventus were only willing to sell him if United meet their valuation of between £70 and £90 million. The claim believes that Solskjaer is encouraging the higher-ups at Old Trafford to fulfill this demand.

Speculations have also indicated that this move from the Norwegian may be a means to secure some commercial appeal in the event Romelu Lukaku or Paul Pogba depart this summer.

The 25-year-old Dybala is certainly a world-class name in his own right and while he did have a bit of a lack-luster campaign last season, his brilliance in front of the goal is exceptional.

It will be interesting to see if this saga materializes in time for deadline day.
